Reverse description The central field displays the denomination inscription in three lines — I / MARCK / DANSKE — followed by the date 1604 below, all within a beaded inner circle. Small six-pointed rosette stops flank the value on the uppermost line. Below the date, an ornamental flourish or cartouche device appears in the lower field. The surrounding circumferential Latin legend reads NORWEGI · VANDA: GOTHO · Q · REX ·, proclaiming Christian IV as King of Norway, the Wends, and the Goths. The legend is framed between inner and outer beaded borders consistent with the hammered technique of the period.
