Obverse description Black letterpress text on a dense blue guilloche underprint with ornamental border repeated on all four sides. A central oval vignette in black bears the large numeral '1' flanked by the word 'MARK', set within an elaborate frame of radiating hatched panels. The heading carries a small imperial eagle device, with the inspector's and adjutant's manuscript signatures appearing below the central vignette alongside the date 'BERLIN DEN 1 OKT 1917', and a serial number printed in black at the foot.

Reverse description Black text on a cream-coloured oval panel centred within an ornamental blue guilloche border of repeating foliate motifs. The text sets out the three redemption conditions for the voucher within the III Army Corps inspection area, listing the camp commandant offices by location. A large green overprint reading 'CROSSEN' diagonally across the central text panel identifies the issuing camp, and the printer's imprint appears in small type at the lower margin.
