| Obverse description | Central field bears the royal cipher of King Christian V — an interlaced crowned monogram — rendered in bold relief within a beaded inner circle. The date 1681 is divided on either side of the monogram, with the regnal cipher C5 prominently displayed. The devotional motto abbreviation P·E·I (Pietate et Justitia, meaning 'With Piety and Justice') appears below the monogram. The design is enclosed within a beaded border running along the coin's periphery. |
