| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in blue, black, and ochre tones, with a decorative cartouche framing a central vignette of a traveling merchant carrying a large pack on his back, a pipe in hand and a walking staff, rendered in a folk-art lithographic style. Behind the figure, a sailing ship and a Gothic cathedral skyline are visible in the background.
