Obverse description Central vignette of a uniformed German soldier in field grey, standing at ease beside a tree and holding a flagpole bearing the black-red-gold German tricolour. To the lower left, the municipal coat of arms of Broacker is printed in colour. The denomination 'Eine Mark' is set in large Gothic script at centre, with the issuing authority 'Gemeinde Broacker' below. A manuscript signature of the Gemeindevorsteher (municipal mayor) Bentzen and a serial number appear beneath. The Latin motto 'TEMPORA MUTANTUR ET NOS MUTAMUR IN ILLIS' runs along the upper and left border, with the Roman numeral date 'MCMXIX' along the right border, and the patriotic motto 'Freiheit die ich meine' along the lower border.
