| Obverse description | Notgeld issued by the Landkreis Cochem, printed in black on a pale lilac guilloche underprint with a fine cross-hatched ground. The denomination numeral "1" appears in large radiating sunburst vignettes at left and right, with the central legend "Gutschein über 1 Mark" set in Gothic blackletter type. The lower half carries a multi-line redemption text in Kurrent script, the place-and-date line "Cochem, den 19. November 1918", the issuing authority signature line, and a manuscript signature of the presiding officer; an embossed dry seal of the Landkreis Cochem is visible at lower left. |
