| Obverse description | Brown letterpress note on cream paper, enclosed within an ornate guilloche border of repeating semicircular and foliate elements, with the denomination '1M' set into cartouches at each corner. The central field carries the value in large Gothic blackletter script 'Eine Mark', below which a five-line redemption text in Kurrent script declares validity at all municipal and Handelskammer cashiers until 1 February 1919, dated Görlitz, 15 November 1918. Two authority headings — 'Der Magistrat:' and 'Die Handelskammer:' — are followed by four facsimile manuscript signatures. |
