| Obverse description | Tan and brown Notgeld note with a decorative border of dotted rules and corner ornaments. The heading reads 'Gutschein der Stadt Mühlhausen i. Th.' in Gothic blackletter script, flanked at each corner by the numeral '1' within shield-shaped cartouches above the legend 'MARK'. The denomination 'EINE MARK' is printed in large bold letterpress text across the centre, below which a text panel states the redemption obligation payable by the Stadthauptkasse Mühlhausen i. Thür., dated 15 December 1918 and countersigned by Der Magistrat with two manuscript signatures. A lower panel in smaller Gothic type sets out the invalidation conditions. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is dominated by a finely engraved panoramic townscape vignette of Mühlhausen showing the city's skyline with Gothic church spires and rooftops rising above a wooded foreground, rendered in dark brown on a light guilloche underprint. At the top centre, the municipal coat of arms — a black double-headed eagle on a white shield — is set within an ornamental cartouche flanked by scrollwork. The numeral '1' appears in each corner within diamond-shaped frames, and a serial number panel in red is centred at the foot, above the printer's imprint. |
