| Obverse description | Central design features a quartered heraldic shield bearing the arms of the Bishopric of Osnabrück and the House of Brunswick-Lüneburg, with divisions displaying lions rampant, fleurs-de-lis, and the heart of Ireland. The shield is surmounted by a princely crown and encircled by the collar of the Order of the Garter bearing its motto.
