Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Ferdinand VII occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair. The circular legend reads FERDIN · VII · D · G · HISP · REX, distributed around the bust. The mint mark J (for Jubia) appears to the left of the bust, and the denomination numeral 1 appears to the right. The date 1824 is placed in the lower exergual area, flanked by dots. The coin's milled border is visible at the periphery.
