Reverse description Crowned shield bearing the fleurs-de-lis arms of the Principality of Dombes, derived from the French royal arms, occupying the central field. The date 1666 is divided on either side of the shield. A circular Latin legend surrounds the composition, referencing the coin's intended circulation in Asian trade markets. The overall design closely imitates the Dombes 1½ écu type, adapted for use as a luigino trade coin.
