The design is framed by a stylised cog-wheel border. The circular legend reads FRISTADEN CHRISTIANIA along the upper arc, with the date 20 17 divided at left and right, and the motto LEV OG LAD ANDRE LEVE (Live and Let Others Live) along the lower arc. |

| Additional information |
Freetown Christiania has issued its own coinage sporadically since the 1970s, a deliberate assertion of autonomy from the Danish state that has tolerated — with varying degrees of patience — the self-governing commune occupying a former military barracks in Copenhagen since 1971. The "Løn" denomination, meaning wage, reflects Christiania's internal economy and communal labor philosophy rather than any convertible currency system.
The 2017 brass issue is late in the series. X#61 places it firmly in the Unusual World Coins catalog, the standard reference for tokens and local issues that fall outside conventional national coinage.
