| Obverse description | The obverse is laid out in a predominantly Arabic-script design within an ornate geometric border of interlacing Islamic arabesques and guilloche rosettes in brown and blue tones. At centre, the denomination لیرة واحدة (One Livre) is inscribed in bold Arabic script above a serial number, with multiline Arabic text stating the date of issue as 1 October 1930 and the redemption terms. Two manuscript signatures appear below the Arabic text, flanked by a large blank oval cartouche at left and geometric cornerpiece vignettes. The upper panel carries the bank name بنك كبير in Arabic, with serial number repeated at the lower corners. |
