Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Franz I facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and laurel wreath tied at the nape. The portrait occupies the central field and is executed in a Classical neoclassical style. The circular Latin legend reads FRANCISCVS I · D · G · AVSTRIAE IMPERATOR around the periphery. The mint mark appears at the bottom of the field below the bust truncation. The coin is bordered by a uniform beaded rim.
