Obverse description Central field displays a Bohemian royal crown set within a beaded inner circle, flanked by decorative crosses. The legend surrounding the crown reads FERDINAND DEI GRATIA REX BOHEMIAE in Latin, distributed around the outer border between beaded circles. The coin bears the title PRIMUS (the First) incorporated within the central design area, referencing Ferdinand I as the first Habsburg King of Bohemia. The overall style is characteristic of hammered coinage of the mid-sixteenth century, with irregular flan edges and hand-engraved dies evident in the slightly uneven strike.

Reverse description Central field features the rampant Bohemian lion passant, depicted facing left with a forked tail raised above its back, executed in the vigorous late-Gothic heraldic style typical of Jagiellonian and early Habsburg Bohemian coinage. The date 1547 is divided on either side of the lion in the field. The surrounding legend GROSSVS PRAGENSIS identifies the denomination as a Prague Groschen, and the mintmark letter K in the lower field denotes the Kutná Hora (Kuttenberg) Mint. The reverse exhibits the characteristic irregular surface and slight die-shift associated with hand-hammered silver coinage of the period.
