Obverse description Central field occupied by a large Roman capital letter L surmounted by a comital crown adorned with fleurs-de-lis and a central cross finial. The device is rendered in relief typical of hammered billon coinage of the late sixteenth century. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, reading along the periphery of the flan. The overall style is consistent with the small feudal coinages of the Italian Piedmontese counties of the period.
Obverse script Latin
Obverse lettering + AVGV. TICIO. CO. DECIA .
