Additional information

Bulgaria's 1923 coinage program coincided directly with the June coup that overthrew Aleksandar Stamboliyski's agrarian government — a violent seizure that left hundreds dead and reshaped the country's political direction under Tsar Boris III. Whether this pattern was struck before or after the coup is unresolved, but the timing means it belongs to one of the most turbulent transitions in interwar Bulgarian history. The aluminium-heavy alloy reflects postwar metal constraints that plagued the Bulgarian economy through much of the early 1920s.

It never entered circulation.
