Obverse description Central field features a heraldic shield bearing a diagonal band adorned with three small stars, displayed in a pointed gothic style. The shield occupies the majority of the coin's field and is rendered in bold relief. Surrounding the shield, a circular legend in Latin reads Z. KÖN. MÜNZE I. GRIECHENL., indicating dedication to the Royal Mint of Greece. The lettering is well-spaced and separated by dot stops, running along the full circumference of the coin. The overall design is austere and utilitarian, consistent with a trial or pattern piece prepared for official review.
