The P#58 series went through several discrete printings by De La Rue, and the absence of the reverse ornament at upper centre marks this as a specific variant rather than a worn or damaged example — the position was simply left blank in this print run's plate layout. It's a minor but cataloguable distinction that separates it from the more commonly encountered version.

Honduras issued successive 1 Lempira notes through the 1960s and 1970s with minimal design changes, largely because the denomination's low purchasing power made frequent redesigns economically unwarranted.
