Obverse description A fully armored knight stands in three-quarter view behind a large shield bearing the rampant lion of Kampen, facing left, holding a sword raised in the right hand and a bundle of arrows in the left. The figure is rendered in high relief with detailed articulation of the armor and plumed helmet. A beaded inner circle frames the central device, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery of the coin.
