Obverse descriptionThe Hanseatic coat of arms of Kuldiga is featured in the centre. A pattern of Gothic ornaments is placed to the left, and an ethnographic motif of the cours is placed to the right of the central pattern. The year 2002 is inscribed right below the coat of arms. The inscriptions GOLDINGEN and 1 LATS, each arranged in a semicircle, are respectively above and beneath the central motif.
