Obverse description Irregular, convex planchet of hammered gold with a centrally placed incuse square depression dominating the field. Within and around the incuse square, a four-petaled flower motif — identified as the sandalwood blossom (genus Santalum) — is rendered in low relief, its petals arranged symmetrically. The overall fabric is characteristic of early Southeast Asian hammered coinage, with an uneven, lumpy flan surface typical of the Srivijayan gold kupang series. No legend or additional devices are present; the floral motif serves as the primary identifying design element.
