| Reverse description | The reverse displays a multi-line Arabic inscription in Jawi script occupying the full field of the coin, reading 'Zakiatuddin's sovereign rule.' The calligraphy is freely rendered in the loose, informal style characteristic of hammered Acehnese gold coinage of the late seventeenth century. A continuous beaded border frames the inscription, mirroring the obverse treatment. The flan is small and irregular in outline, with slight weakness at the edges consistent with the hand-struck technique. The overall design reflects the epigraphic tradition of Islamic coinage prevalent in the Malay Archipelago. |
