Obverse lettering LEOPOLD GROSHERZOG VON BADEN.
Reverse description Central device comprises crossed mining hammers (a mallet and a pick), symbolising the mineral wealth of Baden, surmounted by a grand ducal crown with cross finial. The date 1834 appears in the lower field below the crossed tools, flanked by two decorative rosettes. The denomination KRONEN-THALER is inscribed along the lower rim, while the legend SEGEN DES BADISCHEN BERGBAUES (Blessing of the Baden Mining Industry) curves around the upper periphery, all enclosed within a beaded border.
