| Obverse description | Unadorned left-facing effigy of King Olav V, rendered in high relief with fine detailing of the hair combed back and the collar line at the neck truncation. The portrait occupies most of the field in a clean, modernist style characteristic of mid-20th-century Scandinavian coinage. The legend OLAV·V·R is inscribed vertically along the right side of the field, reading upward. The field is otherwise plain, with no additional ornament or inner circle. |
