Obverse description The obverse features the royal cipher of King Christian X of Denmark, rendered as an ornate interlaced monogram of the letters 'C' and 'X' surmounted by the Danish royal crown, all occupying the central field. The date is divided on either side of the crown above the monogram. The circular legend reads 'KONGE AF DANMARK' (King of Denmark), with mint master and engraver initials 'N. GJ.' appearing at the base of the field. The design is executed in a restrained Art Nouveau idiom, with the monogram's flowing curves complemented by the detailed beaded and jewelled crown above.
