Reverse description A bold cross pattée design with four arms rotated 45 degrees occupies the central field, creating four lobed quadrants, with a small Tyrolean eagle shield at the centre enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The cross arms are broad and stylized in the manner typical of Habsburg Tyrolean coinage of the period. The surrounding legend NECNON ARCHIDVCES D B C T 1603 runs along the outer border, with the date 1603 incorporated into the legend at the top.
