Obverse description Central field displays the quartered coat of arms of the Trautson family, surmounted by a decorative helmet crest with mantling, all rendered in relief typical of early seventeenth-century hammered coinage. The shield is divided into four quarters featuring heraldic charges including animals and geometric devices. The arms are encircled by an inner beaded border, beyond which the peripheral legend reads in Latin capitals. The circular legend PAVLVS SIXTVS TRAVTSON runs around the outer field, identifying the issuing count, separated by ornamental stops.
