Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, with long flowing hair, occupying the central field. The effigy is rendered in the Baroque style characteristic of mid-17th century Habsburg coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading LEOPOLD D G R I S A G H B REX, abbreviating his full imperial and royal titles as Holy Roman Emperor, King of Hungary, Bohemia, and associated realms.
