Additional information

Charles VI spent much of his reign securing acceptance of the Pragmatic Sanction — his decree allowing female succession — through diplomatic concessions that cost the Habsburgs territory and revenue. The Graz mint, operating under Styrian provincial authority, struck these small kreuzers to meet local circulation demand that the Vienna and Hall facilities couldn't efficiently serve at this denominational level. The .1 variety designation in KM distinguishes this Graz output from contemporaneous issues of other Habsburg mints striking to the same type.
