Obverse description Central field features the crowned and mantled coat of arms of the Grand Duchy of Baden, displaying the diagonal barry pattern of Baden beneath a ducal crown with supporting drapery on either side. The circular legend GROSHERZOGTHUM BADEN runs along the periphery. The date appears in the lower exergual area, flanked on each side by a six-pointed star. The overall design is executed in a neoclassical heraldic style typical of early nineteenth-century German State coinage.
Obverse script Latin

Reverse description The Roman numeral I appears prominently in the upper field, with the denomination KREU- ZER inscribed in two lines below, all enclosed within a wreath of two tied laurel branches joined at the base by a ribbon bow. The design is simple and bold, with the denomination as the sole focus against a plain field, consistent with the utilitarian copper coinage of the period.
