| Obverse description | Central field displays the Baden coat of arms — a shield divided diagonally, the upper-left portion bearing a pattern of dots (bezanty) and the lower-right featuring a rampant lion — surmounted by a grand ducal crown. The curved legend flanks the shield to the left and right, reading G:HERZ: and BADEN respectively. The design is rendered in high relief against a flat, unadorned field with a plain rim. |
