Obverse description Draped bust of Duke Charles Eugen facing right, wearing a cuirass and elaborate lace cravat in the Baroque style. The effigy is rendered with characteristic period portraiture, showing a wigged head with flowing locks. The circular Latin legend reads CAROLUS: / D:G:DVX WURT: around the periphery, separated by a colon. The coin is struck on a small flan with a milled border of fine denticles.
