Obverse description The quartered civic arms of Nuremberg — depicting an eagle in the dexter half and diagonal bars (barry) in the sinister half — displayed on a baroque cartouche-style shield, all encircled by an ornate wreath composed of palm and oak branches. The design is executed in high relief with fine decorative scrollwork framing the shield. No legend is present on this face. The coin is bordered by a raised beaded rim.
