Obverse description The city arms of Memmingen displayed within an oval baroque cartouche, featuring a per pale shield with a rampant eagle on the dexter side and a plain cross on the sinister side. The shield is framed by elaborate foliate scrollwork characteristic of late baroque civic heraldry. A beaded inner border surrounds the central device, with the rim showing a granulated edge treatment. No legend appears on this face.

Reverse description A ornate double cross centered within a plain inner circle, its arms splayed and decorated in a wheel-like arrangement with radiating elements between the arms. The circular legend in Latin capital letters surrounds the inner circle, reading '+ STATT MVNTZ', identifying this piece as official municipal coinage of Memmingen. The coin's field between the inner circle and the beaded outer border accommodates the inscription. The execution reflects the modest but competent striking standards of early eighteenth-century German civic billon coinage.
