| Obverse description | Central shield bearing the two crossed keys of Regensburg, the traditional civic arms, displayed saltirewise with elaborate finials. The shield is enclosed within a decorative wreath of foliage and berries. The date is divided across the upper field, flanked by the wreath, reading 16-45 (as example year within the series). The overall style is characteristic of small hammered silver coinage of the mid-seventeenth century Holy Roman Empire. |
