Reverse description Central device consists of a shield bearing the arms of the Free City of Regensburg, featuring a cross surmounted by a lion passant, the traditional civic emblem of Regensburg. Two rampant lions serve as supporters flanking the shield on either side. The denomination letter 'K' (for Kreuzer) appears within or below the shield in the central field. The design is executed in the characteristic schematic style of hammered billon coinage of the Thirty Years' War period, with the legends and devices showing the typical softness of strike associated with this issue.
