Obverse description Draped bust of Frederick II (Frederick the Great) facing left, wearing a laurel wreath, with a pronounced queue visible at the nape. The truncation of the bust is adorned with decorative drapery. The encircling legend reads FRIDERIC: BORUSS: REX, denoting Frederick as King of Prussia. The field is plain, with the effigy rendered in low relief consistent with the small module of the denomination.

Reverse description Crowned Prussian eagle displayed in the centre of the field, with wings spread and talons extended, rendered in low relief. The eagle bears the royal orb on its breast. The denomination and date legend surrounds the design, reading ○ 1 ○ KREUTZER ○ 17 (B) 66, with the Breslau mint mark B incorporated within the date. A fine toothed border runs along the inner edge of the coin.
