Obverse description The quartered coat of arms of the Czech and Slovak Federative Republic occupies the central field, displaying in the upper-left and lower-right quarters the rampant Czech lion, and in the upper-right and lower-left quarters the Slovak double cross on a tripartite mountain. Two stylised linden-leaf ornaments flank the shield at left and right. The legend 'ČSFR' arcs above the shield in bold Latin characters, while the date of issue appears below in the exergue. The mint mark 'R' of the Kremnica Mint is incorporated discreetly into the design.
