| Obverse description | At centre, the Czechoslovak heraldic lion rampant facing left, bearing on its breast an inescutcheon charged with the Slovak double cross, executed in fine relief. The circular legend REPUBLIKA ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ runs along the upper periphery, flanked by small five-pointed stars at the base, with the four-digit date positioned in the lower exergual area beneath the lion. The design is rendered in a clean, sculptural style consistent with the work of engraver Otakar Španiel. |
