Reverse description Central field bears a trident device, above which appears a debased Arabic legend reading 'As-sultan Muzaffar Shah' along with an AH date. Below the Arabic inscription, in larger Devanagari script, appears the name and title of the ruling Rao of Kutch. The combination of Arabic and Devanagari scripts reflects the bicultural numismatic tradition of the Kutch princely state. The overall style is characteristic of locally produced hammered silver coinage derived from earlier Gujarati Sultanate prototypes.
Reverse script Arabic/Devanagari
Reverse lettering ٩٧٨ राउ श्री ऱायधणजी
