Reverse description The reverse displays a bilingual legend in both Persian and Devanagari scripts, struck in bold relief across the irregular hammered flan. The Persian inscription in the upper portion references the Mughal emperor Jalal al-Din Muhammad Akbar, while the lower Devanagari legend identifies the local issuing authority, Rai Sinhji, the Jhala chief of Dhrangadhra, acknowledging his status as a vassal. The two scripts are separated by a horizontal line or division across the coin's face. The deeply incuse lettering shows the characteristic irregularity of hammered provincial coinage. This bilingual format reflects the coin's dual Mughal-Rajput political context.
