Obverse description Central field bears the royal Devanagari legend reading 'Rao Shree Bhojrajji', arranged across the lower portion of the flan within a decorative cartouche-like border. Above, the frozen Hijri date AH 978 is rendered in Arabic numerals occupying the upper field. A trishul (trident) symbol appears to the left, serving as a dynastic emblem of the Kutch rulers. The script is boldly struck in the characteristic hammered style of Indian princely coinage, with the legends filling the coin's face in a dense, calligraphic arrangement.
