| Obverse description | Within the square klippe flan, the quartered arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg are displayed on a heraldic shield, surmounted by a pontifical galero (legate's hat) with pendant tassels arranged in rows on either side. The shield displays the characteristic Salzburg episcopal heraldry. The circular Latin legend is divided around the shield, reading MAX:GAND:D:G:AR:EP:SAL:SE:AP:L:, referencing Archbishop Max Gandolf von Kuenburg's titles. |
