Issued to mark the XV Pacific Games, hosted by Papua New Guinea in Port Moresby in July 2015 — the largest sporting event ever staged in the country, involving over 5,000 athletes from 22 nations. PNG had previously hosted the Games in 1969, making 2015 the first return hosting in 46 years.
