Obverse description Central field depicts a conch shell (shankha) and a discus (chakra) arranged side by side, with a crescent moon above and a sun symbol below, both serving as auspicious Vaishnavite emblems. The devices are rendered in low relief on an irregularly shaped flan with a granular, worn surface typical of hammered copper coinage of the Nayaka period. No legend appears on this face.

Reverse description Central field features a dagger or sword symbol prominently positioned in the middle of the flan, flanked on either side by a Devanagari inscription reading 'Chala' to the left and 'Ma / Ra - ya' to the right, identifying the issuing authority. The lettering is arranged in two horizontal lines divided by the dagger motif, struck in low relief on a rough, irregularly shaped copper flan. The whole is enclosed within a beaded border typical of Nayaka-period copper coinage.
