| Obverse description | Kannada numeral '27' rendered in Kanarese script occupies the central field, the characters boldly incused in the characteristic style of Mysore Kingdom copper kasu coinage. The legend is presented in raised relief against a plain field, with the numerals clearly legible despite the irregular flan typical of hammered issues. The coin exhibits a slightly uneven, irregular rim consistent with hand-struck production of the period. |

Krishnaraja Wodeyar II ruled Mysore in name only for much of his reign, with effective power passing to Hyder Ali by the late 1750s. This kasu predates that usurpation, placing it among the last issues struck under anything resembling genuine Wodeyar authority before the dynasty became a political fiction. Hyder Ali would eventually dominate the mint entirely, issuing coinage in his own name from the late 1760s onward.
