| Reverse description | Stylised fish or abstract floral/vegetal device rendered in low relief within the plain field, consistent with the reverse types employed on Madurai Nayak copper kasu coinage. The design is characteristic of South Indian hammered issues, with a somewhat crude but intentional composition occupying the centre of the irregular flan. |

| Additional information |
The Madurai Nayak kingdom operated as a successor state following the fragmentation of the Vijayanagara Empire after the Battle of Talikota in 1565, and its copper kasu coinage circulated through one of southern India's most active trading regions. Attribution within this series remains contested — KM#22 covers a broad type, and individual pieces often resist precise dynastic placement without die study.
