Obverse description Five punch-marked symbols applied to a flat, irregular silver flan typical of Mauryan coinage. The field bears the following banker's marks: symbol 462 (six-armed symbol, partially indistinct), symbol 468 (solar or Surya symbol), symbol 368 (tree behind a railing with two taurine symbols above the fence), symbol 15 (three bisected circles), and symbol 21 (a deer accompanied by a plant motif with a taurine above, partially worn). The symbols are applied in the characteristic scattered arrangement of the Mauryan punch-marked tradition, each impressed individually by a separate punch tool. Surface exhibits areas of porosity and patination consistent with age and burial.
