Obverse description The obverse displays a multi-line Arabic inscription filling the field, executed in a bold, somewhat crude Naskh script characteristic of provincial Mihrabanid coinage. The legend occupies the entire flan in several horizontal registers, bearing the ruler's name and titles. The script is raised in relief against a flat, undecorated field, with a partial border or frame visible at the upper edge. The overall execution is typical of hammered copper jitals of the period, with slightly irregular flan edges and some weakness of strike at the periphery.
